February 2014 enewsletter
Dear members,
The Annual General Meeting was attended by 16 members at 105 Cambridge Road, Stansted on Tuesday 11th February. Many thanks to Jan for hosting the event.
Fiona Pye was elected as the new Membership Secretary and Debbie Lane was also elected onto the Committee. A very big welcome to both of you!
An email was sent out recently asking for volunteers for members to become “Friends of the Committee”. Thanks to those who have added their name. We really could do with a few more names on the list, so please email Chris if you are keen. Thank you!
There was a lively debate about future tournaments at the Club. So please look out for a variety of different tournaments on different days of the week. The Committee always welcomes new ideas from members.
Clean courts
As you may have seen the courts were deep cleaned last week, which has really improved the playing surface.
Coaching
Chris will be restarting junior classes after half term. There will also be an adult beginners’ class on Tuesday afternoons. Martyn continues with his Monday evening adult class. If you are interested in coaching or know of friends who may be, please get in touch with either Chris or Martyn.
Next Committee Meeting
This will take place at Felicity’s house at 8pm on Monday 3rd March. Please get in touch with a Committee member if you would like to raise an issue.

All lady players are very welcome to attend the next session which will take place from 7pm on Monday 10th March.
