Please note that it is imperative that whoever is last to leave the courts ensures that the court gate is securely padlocked. Unfortunately, there have been several instances over the past few weeks where the gate has been wide open on arrival.

One Day Tournament
Stansted were successful in winning the One Day Tournament which was held at Bishop’s Stortford Tennis Club last Sunday. Other teams which took part were Bishop’s Stortford, Dunmow, Henham and Stebbing. Ruby & Joe Hollis won the Mixed Division. Chris & Matt Hollis won the Men’s Division, while Sarah Hollis & Daphne Lunnon came a close 4th in the Ladies’ Division.

Committee Meeting
The next Committee meeting will be at Richard Portway’s house on Monday 2nd September at 8pm. If any member would like to raise an issue, please contact a committee member before Monday.

Ladies’ Nights
The official Ladies’ Night will be from 7pm on Monday 9th September. In addition, due to Martyn cancelling his coaching, an extra Ladies’ Night will take place on Monday 2nd September, also from 7pm. All lady members welcome!

Club Finals
Club Finals will take place from 10.30am on Sunday 8th September. Please could all players still involved in semi finals make sure that their matches are played over the next week!
All members are warmly invited to pop into the Club during the day to watch the finals.

Hospital Cup
Hospital Cup Finals will take place on Saturday 21st September at the Grove Tennis Club in Saffron Walden. Again, if you are fee, please go along to watch.
STC are still in need of items on a Scottish Andy Murray theme to make up the hamper for our raffle donation. Please contact Daphne, Jan or Chris with your offers or leave them in the box in the clubhouse changing room.

Wilby Tournament
The new date for the Wilby adult doubles tournament is now Sunday 29th September at 2pm.
